Wow! Yesterday was CRAZY busy but it was SO. FUN.! We just love how our little community rallies together to put on a very impressive display of Christmas Cheer at the Ava Christmas Parade! We want to give a HUGE shout out to the AVA Chamber for organizing the weekends festivities, the Christmas Frolic, Friday night and the Parade on Saturday. THANK YOU! We really appreciate all you do.

This year was the first time we had a float in the parade. The theme was “Star Spangled Christmas”. Did you know the definition of spangled is - to be decorated or covered with small sparkling objects? So we tried to combine the true reason we celebrate Christmas with as many sparkly, shining stars and objects as we could. We just love the look of our balloon garlands! The wind was a little boisterous yesterday and we were so nervous that it was going to just all blow away but we are SO thankful that it held up! We weren’t able to bedazzle it as much as we had hoped because of the wind but we are still really happy with the way it turned out.

We also LOVED wishing all of YOU a very Merry Christmas! Don’t forget, the cards we handed out are coupons to be used at Sugar Island Christmas Co., which is only 5 DAYS AWAY!!! We can’t wait to see you all on the farm.

If you live near by, come and support your community! Parade starts at 1:00 pm. We were a spectator last year and it was one of the best parades we had ever attended!! Oh my goodness, December is just flying by! Less than 2 weeks til Christmas… What!?! Speaking of flying, we’d like to introduce another NEW kid’s game for our 2019 season -

Last year the kiddos had such a great time decorating our blank ornaments! This year we have made them all in our workshop to add even more of that homemade feel. I think it’s safe to say the highlight of our 2018 season was the Lighted Hay Ride and we can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t be the star of Christmas Co. again this year! To be sure that everyone is able to experience all the fun, we will be running the hay ride every half hour. So come on over, grab a hot chocolate, snag a seat on the hay wagon and enjoy the 2019 Christmas Co. Hay Ride!

Penguin Plop

One of my favorite exhibits at the zoo are the penguins. Watching them swim and slide about always brings a smile to my face. We hope that another one of our new games will bring a smile to you and yours this holiday season!

We are so excited for all of our 2019 Fall/Winter kittens. Each and every one has found a wonderful forever family and most will be home in time for Christmas! We have enjoyed them all very much and we love being able to share them with all of YOU!
